The International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B) is a Dhaka-based international health research center. It was established in 1978 as the successor of the Cholera Research Laboratory (CRL), which had been established in 1960.
The Centre is a non-profit, autonomous, worldwide organization dedicated to research, education, and outreach. There is training, clinical services, and information distribution accessible. The significant health challenges of today span from improved newborn survival to HIV/AIDS. It collaborates with academic and scientific institutes all over the world. Conducts research, training, and extension initiatives, as well as program-based activities, to generate and distribute information for global lifesaving solutions. The findings of studies conducted at the Centre throughout the years serve policymakers and health care professionals in Bangladesh and around the world with recommendations for adopting agencies and health care providers. |
