Now a days, diabetes is well known diseases in all parts of the world. About 386 million people
is suffered by type 2 diabetes and in 90% cases it is done. Within 2035 year this level will be
raised to 592 million. Diabetes at least doubles a person's risk of death. The global economic cost
of diabetes in 2014 was estimated to be $612 billion USD. In the United States, diabetes cost
$245 billion in 2012. (World Health Organization,2014)
The aim of the study was to observe what kinds of drugs is prescribed to the diabetic patients. In
addition, this study was performed to identify the adherence of the given treatment with the new
antidiabetic drugs in our country. Furthermore, this study was also focus on how much old
antidiabetic drugs is prescribed by physician. If the old antidiabetic drugs is sufficient and very
effective than new antidiabetic drugs. So, why we take new antidiabetic drugs? Where previous
anti-diabetic drugs is given enough support to the diabetic patient. In future, we have need to
develop the new antidiabetic drugs for the patient. Therefore, it will bring a radical change in
treatment of diabetic patients. |
