This report provides detailed description on how I created the application and also how I eased the process of android development while creating the application. Android is the world's most popular operating system for mobile devices and tablets. It is an open source operating system, created by Google, and available to all kinds of developers with various expertise levels, ranging from rookie to professional. Android Inc was founded in Palo Alto of California, U.S. by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris White in 2003. Later Android Inc. was acquired by Google in 2005. After original release there have been a number of updates in the original version of Android.Android has a large community of developers writing applications ("apps") that extends the functionality of the devices. Developers write primarily in a customized version of Java. As of July 2013, the Google Play store officially reached over 1 million apps published and over 50 billion downloads. Android apps can be downloaded from third-party sites or through online stores such as Android Market, the app store run by Google. |
