<description>Android Project Business Card: Ecard
Islam, A.K.M. Nazmul
This project is about a professional business card named ―Ecard‖ in the academic purpose. Android is the most popular platform for mobile operating system. The power of the mobile operating system is increasing rapidly. In this report, I proposed the design and implementation of a professional business card using this platform. Designing and develop useful android app with user interfaces by using extending and creating own layouts, activities and views of the project. This project is developed in Java Programming Language by using Android Studio. I have used the Android software development applications on the Android platform. The most important of these are android software testing Emulator and the tools itself provided by the Google.

<title>Crop Disease Analysis Using Ontology and SPARQL</title>
<link>http://dspace.ewubd.edu:8080/handle/123456789/2351</link>
<description>Crop Disease Analysis Using Ontology and SPARQL
Shakil, Rehnuma
Due to the growth of population, it is essential to improve farm productivity to meet the rapidly growing demand for food across the world. Technologies have been used widely to increase the yielding of crops for the highly growing population. Bangladesh has an agriculture based economy. Though majority population of the country lives on agriculture, but sadly, very few of them are aided with the blessings of technology. The knowledge of different factors like weather condition, soil type and particular attributes of the crops to plant is essential to improve the productivity of agricultural crops. The proper management and easy accessibility of this knowledge can increase the production of crops and decrease the loss of crops due to these natural factors. Formally represented knowledge is based on a conceptualization. Ontology is an explicit specification of a conceptualization. It defines a common vocabulary for researchers who need to share information in a domain. It includes machine-interpretable definitions of basic concepts in the domain and relations among them. Ontology driven applications face the challenge of integrating multiple formats with the information stored in ontologies.
In this project, we have proposed an ontology-based knowledge management methodology for the diagnosis of soybean diseases using Protégé and SPARQL. A set of new ontology concepts and properties has been defined to build the conceptual model for the attributes that describes the soybean plant, the factors that defines the soybean diseases and the relation between them. Finally, we develop a web application for soybean disease analysis using a SPARQL endpoint at the backend.

<title>Weather Phenomenon Prediction Using Semantic Web</title>
<link>http://dspace.ewubd.edu:8080/handle/123456789/2350</link>
<description>Weather Phenomenon Prediction Using Semantic Web
Roy, Raktim Kumar
Weather phenomenon analysis is the application of current technology and science to predict the accurate weather condition for planning our day to day activities. Weather attribute such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed are affected in agriculture, air traffic, marine, forestry, severe weather alerts and advisories, military applications and utility companies. However the process of weather phenomenon is one of the complex areas in meteorology. As weather information is collected from various systems with different formats and parameters. Such type of data is lying in different sources and in heterogeneous format, which are challenging to be integrated in one platform into the knowledge domain. Hence the data source need to be aligned in order to facilitate the smooth integration and to achieve this would involve various processing. There is a need to accomplish unified integration of heterogeneous environments (data sources) and to provide worldwide access to the system. The heterogeneity issues needs to be minimized to arrive a common understanding and decision making by various agencies, research institutions and application areas.
In this paper I focus on a novel framework which is proposed for integrating heterogeneous data sources in a single platform, using semantic web techniques. Here I build a ontology which has been developed for aligning, consisting of all possible concepts, attributes and relations for weather phenomenon domain to provide knowledge using semantic relations.

<title>Departmental Store Management System</title>
<link>http://dspace.ewubd.edu:8080/handle/123456789/2349</link>
<description>Departmental Store Management System
Rajib, Shahrear Amir
DSMS stands for Departmental Store Management System. This is a rather broad definition that can include merchandising aids, displays and the methods used to enable transactions. In our case, we're talking about the hardware and software that runs both the front counter and back office operations of a business. A Departmental Store Management System (DSMS) is an application that executes a collection of protocols to co-ordinate the actions of multiple processes on a network, such that all components cooperate together to perform a single or small set of related tasks. This system is good when one is has an established Shop and wants his/her stores to blinked.
One of its advantages is the ability to connect remote use with remote resources in an open (where each component is continually open to interaction with other components) and scalable (the system can easily be altered to accommodate changes in the number of users, resources and computing) way, and can also be larger and more powerful given the combined capabilities of the Departmental Store Management System. Components compared to that of Departmental Store Management System.
