This report is based on a 12-week internship program at GrameenPhone Ltd, the leading multinational company in telecommunication sector. The report is divided into two parts the organization part and the project part. The organization part discusses the mission, purpose, the organization structure and basic business activities of GrameenPhone. GrameenPhone started their business approximately 3 years. They are operating in the market for long time. They gained success from the very beginning of their operation and were capable enough to hold the success year after year. In contrast to the "island" strategy followed by some companies, which involves connecting isolated islands of urban coverage through transmission links, GrameenPhone builds continuous coverage may vary from area to area depending on market conditions, the basic strategy of cell- to all coverage is applied throughout GrameenPhone's network. In Nov' 1996- GrameenPhone Received license to start business operation. In Mar' 1997- they launched services in greater Dhaka. In Sep' 1997- they arranged a lease agreement with Bangladesh Railway for using their Fiber Optic network throughout the country. <description>Baitul Mukarram Baboshaye Group Billing System for System Analysis and Design
Mahbub, Md. Tabrez Bin [et al.]
This report on "Baitul Mukarram Babosbaye Group Billing System" is submitted on December 15, 1999 to Mr. Pijush K. Paul, course teacher, Management Information System (MIS-402), East West University. Mr. Pijush K. Paul orally authorizes us to prepare the report. The main purpose of writing the report is to fulfill of Management Information System course requirement. Also to develop practical knowledge about the course. Because with out the practical knowledge the implication of the course will not be fulfill. The world is running through the IT century. The revolution has given us database system which has a great impact on the business world. Now in our country many organization like, Baitul Mukarram Babosbaye Group is also looking to adapt the system. So we tried to identify the user requirement and the related problem of implementing the system. The proposed system will be based on the DESA's meter reading. So the primary input or data of the system will be the meter reading. The main limitation of the report is the users. Because, they do not know much about the database system. So they could not clearly express their requirement to us. This was a big problem for us. The other problem that could occur in future is false meter reading".
